SEN Teaching Assistant
SEN Primary Teaching Assistant (BD22)
NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in the heart of Keighley. This school has a hydrotherapy pool, soft play and rebound for the children to access and support their learning.

- Supporting children with additional and complex needs
- Personal care will be required
- ASAP start
- Salary - £92.60 per day
The Role
The successful candidate will provide dedicated support with children with additional complex needs, helping them to access their learning, develop independence and engage positively with the school environment.
The pupils may have needs such as Autism, ADHD, SEMH, Medical needs. Supporting the wider school team to ensure the pupils receives consistent, personalised and nurturing support throughout the school day.

Based in the heart of Keighley, the school provides education to children between the ages of 2 to 11 with severe learning difficulties and profound and complex medical needs.
The school supports pupils with a range of needs, including:
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Trauma-related difficulties
- Anxiety
- ADHD
- Communication and Interaction needs
- Cognition and Learning needs
- Specific learning needs

About You
We are looking for someone who is patient, compassionate, confident and passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant
- Experience supporting children with SEN and/or challenging behaviour
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Happy with personal care and use of the hydrotherapy pool
- A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
- An enhanced DBS check, or willingness to obtain one
- Minimum Grade 4/C in GCSE English and Maths
