Location: WF7
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:45am - 3:35pm | Term Time Only
Salary: £19,000-£20,000 per year


About the Role

NextGen Teachers are recruiting a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in WF7, supporting children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is compassionate, patient, and passionate about helping every child reach their full potential. You'll play a vital role in providing both educational and personal care support within a nurturing and inclusive environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with PMLD across classroom, sensory, and life skills activities.

  • Provide personal care in a respectful, professional manner.

  • Assist with communication, mobility, and sensory programmes.

  • Foster a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.


What We're Looking For

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND or PMLD, or experience in a care setting.

  • A patient, proactive, and caring attitude.

  • Confidence providing personal care and one-to-one support.

  • A genuine interest in developing a career within SEND education.
