Location: Leeds

Start Date: ASAP or September 2026
Pay: From £92.60 per day

NextGen Teachers are recruiting on behalf of a specialist secondary SEND provision in Leeds, seeking dedicated and professional SEND Teaching Assistants for both immediate and September 2026 starts.

This specialist setting supports secondary-aged learners with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, communication and interaction needs, moderate learning difficulties, and complex learning needs. The school provides a structured, supportive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to support students in accessing learning, developing independence, and achieving their individual targets. Support may be delivered on a 1:1 basis or within small group settings, depending on pupil needs.

The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND, strong communication skills, and a calm, patient approach. Experience within a specialist setting, Team Teach training, or a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established specialist school with a supportive leadership team, ongoing professional development opportunities, and the potential to secure a permanent position.

The school is actively trialling candidates and welcomes applications from individuals available for both immediate and September starts.

To apply, please submit your CV to charlotte@nextgenteachers.co.uk or apply today for immediate consideration.
