Location: Leeds
Contract: Full-time, Term-Time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Age Group: 3-11 years
Start Date: September
Salary: £19,103 - £23,586 (Depending on Experience)

We're looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated SEN Teaching Assistants / Inclusion Support Workers. If you have had previous experience supporting young students with SEND, including children with cognition and learning, communication and interaction and/or pupils with sensory and complex SEND needs, then we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with a range of SEND needs, including cognition and learning, communication and interaction, and sensory or complex needs.
  • Work closely with the SENDCO, teachers and phase leaders to deliver high-quality, personalised support and provision.
  • Act as a key adult for pupils where required, supporting engagement, progress and wellbeing.
  • Implement strategies such as PECs, communication support and behaviour interventions to meet individual needs.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents/carers and external agencies to support consistent and joined-up provision.
  • Help promote inclusion by re-engaging pupils in learning, supporting behaviour, and ensuring access to the curriculum across the primary age range.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience supporting pupils with a range of SEND needs, including cognition and learning, communication and interaction, and/or sensory and complex needs.
  • Strong behaviour management skills with a calm, patient and consistent approach.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents/carers and external agencies.
  • A flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to adapt to individual pupil needs.
  • Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop skills in areas such as PECs and communication strategies.
  • Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and high expectations for all learners.
