Location: Nottingham

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Age Group: Secondary Years

Start Date: September

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (Depending on Experience)

NextGen Teachers are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a specialist school for a Secondary Science Teacher to join their dedicated team from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and support young people while delivering engaging Science lessons in a supportive and inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Science lessons to GCSE students, adapting learning to meet individual needs.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment for students with SEMH and ASD.
  • Monitor student progress and provide targeted support to help learners achieve their potential.
  • Build strong relationships with students and promote positive behaviour and engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and the wider school team to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching Science at Secondary level, ideally up to GCSE.
  • A passion for supporting students with SEMH, ASD, or additional learning needs.
  • Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills.
  • A patient, adaptable, and positive approach to teaching and learning
