Location: Wakefield
Contract:Full-Time, Temporary (2 weeks)
Age Group: Year 9
Hours: 8:15am-15:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £92 - £95 (Depending on Experience)

Make a real impact every day as an Inclusion Worker! We're looking for a warm and positive candidate who has experience supporting secondary learners with SEMH Needs. (Social, Emotional and Mental Health). You'll be working within a welcoming and supportive school environment, playing a key role in promoting positive behaviour, building confidence, and helping students thrive both inside and outside the classroom. This is a short-term, temporary position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students to engage positively with learning and school life.
• Build strong relationships that promote confidence, wellbeing, and inclusion.
• Assist teachers in delivering lessons and maintaining a positive classroom environment.
• Supervise students during lunch and support positive behaviour.
• Make positive phone calls home to celebrate student progress and achievements.
• Prepare classroom resources and support general classroom organisation.
• Ensure student work is completed and kept up to date.
• Work collaboratively with staff to help students achieve their full potential.

What we're looking for:

• A passionate and enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with young people.
• Experience supporting children or young people in an educational, pastoral, or care setting.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A positive, patient, and proactive approach to supporting students.
• The ability to encourage engagement, confidence, and positive behaviour.
• A team player who can work effectively alongside teaching and support staff.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of young people.
