Primary Teacher - SEN Focus

Location: West Yorkshire (Leeds, Bradford & Wakefield)
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: £140 - £220 per day (depending on experience)

NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting for passionate and dedicated Primary Teachers to work in a range of welcoming primary schools across West Yorkshire, including Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield, for September 2026 starts.

These full-time opportunities are available across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 and would suit teachers with a strong interest or background in supporting pupils with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs, within mainstream primary settings.

The schools we work with pride themselves on inclusive learning environments, strong pastoral support and supportive leadership teams.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons across the primary curriculum
  • Differentiate learning to support pupils with a range of SEN needs
  • Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with SEND staff, teaching assistants and senior leaders
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively using positive behaviour strategies
  • Plan, prepare and assess pupils' work in line with school expectations

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Recent experience teaching within UK primary schools
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN within a mainstream or specialist setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A positive, patient and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
