About the Role

We are recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary SEND Teacher to join a specialist educational setting in OX17.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher with primary experience who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated lessons, creating a positive learning environment, and supporting pupils to achieve their full potential both academically and personally.

Working as part of a supportive team, you will play a key role in helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to meet individual learning needs.

  • Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development.

  • Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress.

  • Use effective classroom and behaviour management strategies.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

  • Previous teaching experience within a primary/SEMH setting.

  • Strong communication and organisational skills.

  • A positive, patient, and adaptable approach.

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing.

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
