Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - Breakfast Club & 1:1 SEN Support
Location: DN9
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:45am - 3:45pm (with 1-hour lunch break)
Start Date: ASAP
NextGen Teachers are pleased to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Doncaster, who are seeking a committed and caring Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team.
This is a unique and rewarding role combining Breakfast Club support with dedicated 1:1 SEN provision. You will play a key role in supporting a pupil in Year 5 with an EHCP, helping them to thrive both academically and socially throughout the school day.

The Role
- Support pupils during Breakfast Club, helping to create a calm, positive start to the school day
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil with Autism and ADHD
- Adapt learning activities to meet the individual needs of the pupil
- Support emotional regulation, focus, and engagement in lessons
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCP targets
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Has experience working with children with SEN, particularly Autism and ADHD
- Experience supporting learners on a 1:1 basis
- Is patient, empathetic, and able to build strong, trusting relationships
- Has a calm and consistent approach to behaviour support
- Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills
- Is reliable, proactive, and committed to making a difference
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Previous experience in a school or similar setting is highly desirable
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) - desirable
