Contract: Full-Time | 12-Week Temp-to-Perm

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker, Learning Support Assistant or Support Worker looking for a rewarding role?

A secondary school in Crawley is looking for a Teaching Assistant / Pastoral Support Worker to support students with SEMH, Autism (ASC), SEN and Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA) with their learning outside of the classroom.

Working in a supportive, trauma-informed environment, you'll help young people build confidence, develop resilience and re-engage with education.

The Role

You'll provide 1:1 and small group support, helping students with their learning, emotional wellbeing and behaviour.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting students with SEMH, Autism (ASC), SEN and EBSA
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Building trusted relationships with young people
  • Supporting learning in the classroom and around the school
  • Working alongside teachers, therapists and pastoral staff

  • Is calm, patient and resilient
  • Can build positive relationships and act as a role model
  • Is passionate about helping young people achieve their potential
