NextGen Teachers are currently recruiting confident, reliable and enthusiastic Supply Cover Supervisors to work across a welcoming secondary school in the Pudsey area of Leeds.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous teaching, cover supervision or classroom management experience who are looking for flexible work within a secondary school environment.

You will be supporting the school by providing classroom cover across a range of subjects, ensuring lessons run smoothly and students remain focused, engaged and on task in the absence of their usual teacher.

Whether you are an experienced Cover Supervisor, a qualified teacher looking for more flexibility, or someone with strong classroom management experience, we would love to hear from you!

The Role:

• Supervising classes across a variety of secondary school subjects
• Delivering pre-planned lessons and ensuring students complete the work set
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
• Supporting students with their learning and answering questions where appropriate
• Ensuring students remain focused, engaged and on task
• Following school policies and procedures, including behaviour and safeguarding expectations
• Providing feedback to teaching staff regarding lesson progress and any issues

The Ideal Candidate:

• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor, Teacher or within a classroom-based role
• Confident classroom management and behaviour management skills
• The ability to engage and motivate secondary-aged students
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A flexible, adaptable and proactive approach
• The confidence to supervise a range of subjects across Key Stages 3 and 4
• A professional and reliable attitude
