NextGen Teachers are urgently recruiting a talented Art & Photography Teacher for a secondary school in Pudsey, Leeds.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic teacher to join a secondary school on a full-time, long-term temporary basis, starting ASAP.

We are looking for someone who can bring creativity into the classroom, inspire students to explore their artistic abilities and develop their skills across both Art and Photography.

Whether you are an experienced Art and Photography Teacher or a confident Art specialist with a passion for photography, we want to hear from you!

The Role:

• Teaching Art and Photography across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Planning and delivering engaging, creative and inspiring lessons
• Encouraging students to experiment with different artistic techniques, materials and mediums
• Supporting pupils to develop their practical skills, creativity and confidence
• Delivering photography lessons covering areas such as composition, lighting, editing and visual storytelling
• Preparing students for coursework, assessments and examinations where required
• Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback
• Maintaining a positive, creative and well-managed classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in Art and Photography
• Experience teaching within a secondary school environment
• Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
• The ability to inspire creativity and engage students of varying abilities
• A flexible, enthusiastic and proactive approach
• Available to start ASAP and commit to a full-time, long-term placement
