NextGen Teachers is partnering with a newly established group of secondary schools across Wakefield and is looking for enthusiastic, professional Cover Supervisors. If you have experience in secondary schools and want flexible, rewarding work, this is the perfect opportunity.
About the Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll support learning when teachers are absent, supervising lessons using pre-prepared work, maintaining a positive classroom environment, and managing behaviour according to school policies.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise lessons and support students with set work
Maintain a safe, productive, and positive learning environment
Manage classroom behaviour effectively
Follow school procedures and safeguarding policies
Provide general support to teaching staff as required

Experience working in secondary schools
Professional, approachable, and positive attitude
Passion for supporting young people
Strong communication and behaviour management skills
Reliable, adaptable, and able to work across multiple school sites
