NextGen Teachers are delighted to be working in partnership with a new SEN School in Leeds to recruit a full-time, permanent SEN / Autism Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated and supportive team starting as soon as possible.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and wants a long-term, stable role in a rewarding school environment.

This school caters for children from 4 - 16 years who live with; Autism, ADHD, Moderate Learning Difficulties, Severe Learning Difficulties and Speech, Language and Communication needs.

The Role

As a SEN / Autism Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, learning difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils access the curriculum

  • Provide emotional, behavioural and academic support

  • Help create a calm, safe, and engaging learning environment

  • Work closely with teachers, therapists and SEN staff
