The Highlights
Location: Horsham (A friendly, specialist primary setting).
Contract: 12-week temporary placement leading to a Permanent Contract.
Hours: 8:30am - 3:45pm, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only).
Pay: Competitive daily rates (Weekly PAYE).
Training: Access to Free Pre-placement Training to support your professional growth.
Your Role: Nurturing Potential in the Early Years
Supporting children aged 4-11, you will be an essential part of a small, structured classroom. Your focus will be on providing the gentle, consistent care that primary students with Autism, communication needs, and SEMH require to feel safe and ready to learn.
1:1 Mentorship: Delivering tailored support that meets the specific emotional and learning needs of each child.
Creative Interventions: Assisting with small group activities that reinforce key social and academic skills through play and structured learning.
Emotional Regulation: Helping young learners navigate their feelings using positive behaviour strategies in a calm, safe environment.
Classroom Collaboration: Partnering with teachers to adapt resources, ensuring every child can participate and succeed.
Who You Are
We are looking for someone who understands that in a primary SEND setting, patience is a superpower.
Experience: You likely have a background in Primary Education, Early Years, or Care.
The "Primary" Mindset: You understand the importance of routine, structure, and a "care-first" approach for young learners.
