Location: Leeds
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only, Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start Date: September
Salary: £20,000 - £22,500

Are you a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant/SEN Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity? We're working with welcoming primary and secondary schools across Leeds who are looking for confident Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs.

You'll work closely with pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), communication needs and other additional learning needs, helping them access learning within a calm, structured and supportive environment.

You'll play an important role in helping pupils build confidence, develop independence and engage positively with their learning and school life.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN across primary and secondary settings.
• Support pupils to access learning through personalised and engaging activities.
• Encourage positive behaviour, emotional well-being and confidence.
• Help pupils develop independence, communication and social skills.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to provide consistent, individualised support.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience supporting children or young people in education, care, healthcare, youth work or support settings.
• A caring, patient and positive approach with a genuine passion for supporting pupils.
• Experience supporting children or young people with Autism, communication needs or additional needs is desirable.
• Confident building strong and positive relationships with pupils.
• Reliable, adaptable and able to work effectively as part of a supportive school team.
