SEND Teaching Assistant

Location: Bradford
Contract: Supply with potential for Temp to Perm - We also have Supply Roles Available in Bradford
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Term-Time
Supply Pay: £90 - £95 per day
Temp to Perm Salary: £19,500 - £21,000 per annum, depending on experience

Are you a caring, patient and resilient Teaching Assistant looking to develop your experience within a specialist SEND setting?

NextGen Teachers are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a lovely school in Bradford, supporting pupils aged 11-19 with complex additional needs.

This school is a specialist academy supporting pupils with Severe Learning Difficulties, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Autism. The school places a strong emphasis on helping pupils become confident, resilient and independent, while providing a personalised and engaging curriculum.

The Role

You will:

• Support pupils with complex SEND, SLD, PMLD and Autism
• Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required
• Help pupils access personalised learning and develop their independence
• Support communication, sensory needs and emotional wellbeing
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
• Encourage confidence, resilience and engagement
• Support pupils with personal care where required
• Work closely with teachers and the wider specialist team
