We are seeking a dedicated, caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school that we work closely with in Bradford. This role is based within the schools in-house specialist provision, supporting Primary pupils with a range of special educational needs to help them thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

About the Role

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with additional needs

  • Assist in delivering tailored learning activities and interventions

  • Work closely with the SENCO, class teachers and wider support team

  • Help create a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment

  • Support pupils with communication, social skills, emotional regulation and independence

  • Contribute to individual learning plans and behaviour support strategies

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families

Key Qualities We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language needs)

  • A warm, patient and resilient approach

  • Ability to use initiative and adapt to pupils' individual needs

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
