NextGen Teachers are proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the LS15 area of Leeds to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant who is keen to support pupils in their learning, development and overall wellbeing. The role is initially temporary, with the potential to become a long-term position for the right candidate.

The Role

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across the primary age range, helping to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment. You will play an important role in supporting children's academic progress, confidence and personal development.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the class teacher with the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities
• Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and support pupil progress
• Providing additional support to pupils who may require extra help with their learning and development
• Helping to maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and good behaviour
• Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to the class teacher
• Supporting pupils' social, emotional and personal development
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other school staff to ensure pupils receive the support they need

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about helping children achieve their full potential.

We are looking for someone who has:

• A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
• Previous experience working within a primary school setting
• A good understanding of the primary curriculum and effective classroom support strategies
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive, flexible and positive approach to supporting pupils
• The ability to build positive relationships with children and staff
• A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• The right to work in the UK
• Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to complete one)
• Has the ability to provide at last 2 professional references
