📚 KS1 Teaching Assistant

Location: Leeds - LS9
Year Groups: Year 1 & Year 2
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm

We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS1 (Year 1 & Year 2) at a fantastic school in Shakespeare.

This is a mainstream role rather than SEN-focused, so we're ideally looking for someone with previous KS1/primary classroom experience who is confident supporting children with their learning and development.

The role will involve:

• Supporting pupils across Year 1 and Year 2 with their learning
• Working closely with the class teacher to support lessons and activities
• Helping children stay engaged, focused and confident in the classroom
• Providing encouragement and positive reinforcement
• Supporting small-group and 1:1 activities where required
• Helping create a positive, safe and nurturing classroom environment

🔎 We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school
• Has experience with KS1 or a strong understanding of younger learners
• Is confident, enthusiastic and engaging
• Has excellent communication skills
• Is reliable, patient and able to build positive relationships with pupils
• Is keen to develop their experience within education
