SEN Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full-time, Term-time only. Temp-to-perm
Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: From £92.60 per day

NextGen Teachers are working with a welcoming primary school in Leeds that is looking to appoint a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.

The school is keen to meet suitable candidates quickly and will be arranging interviews/trials ASAP.

This role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including PMLD, ASC, ADHD, medical needs, and complex learning difficulties. You will work both 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils access learning, build confidence, and support their overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
* Support pupils with complex SEN needs
* Adapt learning activities and assist with lesson delivery
* Work closely with teachers and wider support staff
* Provide personal care support where required

Requirements:
* Previous SEN experience is essential
* A genuine passion for supporting children
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* GCSEs in English, Maths and Science

Desirable:
* Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
* Team Teach training
