Secondary Humanities Teacher - Bradford

Are you a Secondary Humanities Teacher looking for your next opportunity in Bradford?

NextGen Teachers are currently working with a welcoming secondary school in Bradford who are looking for a passionate and adaptable Humanities Teacher to join their team on a supply basis.

The role will involve working alongside the school's established Humanities department, supporting pupils across Geography, History and Religious Education (R.E.).

Initially, the position will be offered on a supply basis, providing flexibility and the opportunity to get to know the school. For the right candidate, there is potential for the role to develop into a longer-term position.

The Role

• Teach and support pupils across Geography, History and R.E.
• Work collaboratively with the school's Humanities department
• Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons
• Support positive behaviour and classroom management
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners
• Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Follow existing schemes of work and school expectations
• Contribute positively to the wider school community

We're Looking For a Teacher Who:

• Holds QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Has experience teaching Humanities within a secondary school
• Has a strong subject knowledge across History, Geography and/or R.E.
• Can confidently teach across Key Stages 3 and/or 4
• Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Is adaptable and confident working in different classroom environments
• Can quickly build positive relationships with pupils
• Is reliable, professional and enthusiastic
• Is interested in the possibility of a long-term opportunity
