Salary: £29,000-£39,000 per year
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Start: January 2026

NextGen Teachers are working with a highly regarded SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Huddersfield to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Primary Teacher for a permanent position starting in January.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher with primary or lower secondary (Year 7/8) experience who wants a rewarding role in a supportive, forward-thinking environment that values professional growth and work-life balance.

The Role:

  • Plan and deliver a broad, creative curriculum adapted to meet the academic and emotional needs of pupils with SEMH challenges

  • Provide consistent support to learners who benefit from a nurturing, structured approach

  • Work closely with an experienced leadership team and skilled support staff to create a positive, inclusive atmosphere

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience teaching in a primary setting or with Year 7/8 pupils

  • Patient, adaptable, and empathetic approach to behaviour and learning

  • Passion for supporting pupils with additional or SEMH needs
